This summer has already taken me to some places I never could of imagined I would spend time in. My boyfriend is working this summer in Mississippi for three months, so I am getting to know a whole lot more about Mississippi than I ever dreamed. I'm a big believer in finding hidden gems in any city and Biloxi is not by any means lacking in this department. I love being able to explore a whole new state with my boyfriend. Below are some of my favorite places so far that we have adventured to, with more to be added--I'm sure!
Ate & Drank
Sophi's Mediterranean Cafe & Market - Firat & I could not believe our luck. We happened upon this cafe and it had everything we needed: vegetarian options, hookah, and an international food market. This was by far my favorite spot.
Adventures Pub & Spirits - Loved this local spot for our first taste of Mississippi beer.
Saw & Did
Hookah Up Cafe - Sister cafe to Sohpi's, we automatically knew we would love this place. Not only does the owner have Turkish roots, but the hookah was great and the place was packed on a Saturday night.
Casinos - The casinos are all over the Coast and they are like their own little city inside with shops, bars, and restaurants. It was my first time gambling and I lost a solid $3.00 on the slots in the Hard Rock Casino. While I'm not much of a gambler, I definitely want to come back and watch others play, drink at the bars, check out the restaurants, and maybe have another go at the slots.
Biloxi Beach - Nearly empty, Firat & I had the white sand beach to ourselves.
